Introduction
Greetings all:
First and foremost, as my blog name suggests, I am a lover of bulldogs (my little guy is pictured below)! I just needed to get that out of the way so everyone was clued-in. Now, on to my generalities of life... My name is Lydia and I am a continuing education student, which means I've attended college for numerous years, nearly completed my bachelor's in 2011, and am now back to attempt to finish what I started. I have put off finishing my degree because I've been hesitant to put more on my plate, for fear that something or someone would suffer for it. Let me explain that statement: not only do I work full-time (as does my husband), but I am a mom of two (ages 21 and 14), step-mother to two (ages 24 and 19) and a grandmother to a 7 year old, who lives with us; and all of this has been accomplished at the ripe old age of 39! Things can get very chaotic around our house, to say the least, especially when you throw in the mix 3 dogs and 2 cats, who can be even more demanding than the kids sometimes. With all of this in mind, one might think I'm a bit crazy to add full-time schooling to the mix, but, after much consideration, I've decided that if I don't do it now, I never will. So, here's to starting over and achieving the goal I originally set for myself. I look forward to getting to know all of you, and hope that this class gives me the positive reinforcement and self-confidence to hit the ground running.
